Listen To Reason is an interpretation of our modern-day existence in a society that is still wrestling with out-dated paradigms. It’s about how easily led we can be, and how easily we can be hacked and manipulated. It’s about the act of labelling and “othering” people, to make it easier to disregard their humanity en masse.

That all sounds a bit heavy for a pop song, but relax, it’s certainly not meant to be such a downer. The song speaks to having awareness, and the act of recognising and calling out bullshit when you see it. Sometimes the best we can do is be aware of the weak points in our own minds that allow us to be manipulated into caring less and less about important things that impact our existence.

It's a small step in the right direction anyway, and if nothing else, we can just make music and dance as the world ends.
